More extensive and efficient use of “green” energy is targeted by the Serbian Energy Development Strategy, with careful and efficient use of the strategic resource – coal.
One of the PE EPS priorities involves the modernisation of the existing small hydropower plants, construction of new small hydropower plants, wind plant and solar plant development, with the analysis of potential sites. Municipal waste incineration plant projects are also being considered in cooperation with cities of Uzice and Kragujevac.
