Information systems in PE EPS include hardware and telecommunication infrastructure, system software, specialized software for platforms and applications for business databases (financial, accounting, planning, administrative, personnel, technical, production, reporting, in the field of business intelligence, calculation and printing of invoices, reports for state and local institutions, and others).
The pilot project for the implementation of integrated accounting system software, by which SAP solution shall be implemented in PE EPS, is being redefined and aligned with company restructuring process.
As regards development of the application for the maintenance of the human resource information system for all EPS subsidiaries, an in-house solution for generating dynamic reports required for daily and periodic analyses, record keeping and making printouts of employment contracts, reports on years of service, pension insurance periods and staff turnover were enabled.
As part of developing the existing information system, the platform for migration of existing software to Oracle 10g version was configured and the backup system was upgraded.
The implementation of integrated electronic office and record keeping operations reached its final stage. All input and output documents are electronically recorded, scanned, archived and sent to the given address, and quick search and information security in the local network of PE EPS were implemented.
Activities towards the application of advanced IT services in the in-house computer network also continued. The process of installation of clients' configurations was improved and the implementation, which shall provide efficient centralized service management, has started. The subsidiaries are connected with PE EPS over fiber-optic infrastructure that enables monitoring and management of existing cable runs and capacities which are exploited in real time. This system shall ensure additional value when, in the scope of telecommunication network, IP telephony service is implemented.
PE EPS is ready to realize practical implementation of qualified electronic certificates and has constructed the infrastructure of public cryptic keys in order to successfully implement the e-business security method.
Together with PE EMS the project of construction of technical system for management of PE EPS production facilities
continued. The preparation of CHP “Zrenjanin” for connection to technical control system is completed, and works on TPP “Kostolac A”” are in progress, and works on preparation of TPP “Kolubara A” are being planned.
