The Supervisory Board of
"Electric Power Industry of Serbia" in a new composition, with prof.
Dr. Jovan Despotović in command, held the first session at which acting
director of PE EPS, Milorad Grčić, introduced new members of the supervisory
body to the senior management of EPS.
- I believe that the appointment
of a new chairman and members shows how important it is for us to have people
on the Supervisory Board who left a mark - said Grčić and thanked Despotović on
his own behalf and on behalf of benevolent and honest people on his acceptance
to be a member of a Supervisory Board of the largest energy company in Serbia.
Prof. Dr. Jovan Despotović,
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PE EPS is an expert in the fields of
hydrology, hydrotechnics, hydrotechnical Infrastructure, construction risks,
author of more than 230 scientific papers and was a full-time professor at the
Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University in Belgrade until his
retirement.
Prof. Dr. Despotović pointed out
that he had a long-term relationship with EPS, through cooperation on
successful projects during the last 15 years.
- Being the chairman of the
Supervisory Board, I am open to cooperation and I expect efficient work so that
Electric Power Industry of Serbia continues to operate successfully - said
Despotović.
Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Gajić, who
was a member of the Supervisory Board of EPS in the former mandate, said that
he expects future cooperation to be also successful.
On April 22nd, the Government of
Serbia appointed Prof. Dr. Jovan Despotović as the Chairman of the Supervisory
Board of PE EPS, Srđan Alimpijević and Prof. Dr. Petar Stanojević have been
appointed new members, while Aleksandar Trifunović and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar
Gajić, who have previously performed this duty, were given new mandate as
members in the Supervisory Board of PE EPS.
