Acting director of EPS presented the results to the Supervisory Board

Acting Director of Elektroprivreda Srbije, Miroslav Tomasevic, informed the Supervisory Board of JP EPS at the session organised to discuss the state of the system and the good operational results of the company.
- We achieved our goal. Thanks to the relatively mild winter, good hydrological situation and thermal power plant readiness, we boosted the system and are now exporting electricity. In March alone, electricity export earnings amounted to EUR 32.5 million, and since the beginning of the year it has reached EUR 49 million. By importing coal, we additionally secured the system. Currently, coal stockyards are full, especially in Kostolac. In total, there are currently 1,770,000 tons of coal in the stockyards of EPS thermal power plants, which is unheard of in recent years - he said.
Tomasevic emphasized that the overhaul season has begun, that all activities have been contracted and specified that as of 19 March Unit A4 of TENT A will be overhauled, from 2 April, unit B1 overhaul will begin, while from 15 April, ECS system in RB Kolubara Coal Basin will be repaired.
- I fulfilled my task, to return EPS to a good condition together with the team after numerous problems. At the meeting, we also informed the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about all the results and plans, as well as why EPS is not a financial risk - said Tomasevic.
