The Government
of the Republic of Serbia elected a new Supervisory Board of Electric Power
Industry of Serbia and appointed an independent candidate, Prof. Dr. Jovan
Despotović.
Srđan
Alimpijević, as an employee representative, and Prof. Dr. Petar Stanojević have
been appointed new members of the Supervisory Board of PE EPS. Aleksandar
Trifunović and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Gajić, who have previously performed this
duty, were given new mandate as members of the Supervisory Board of PE EPS.
Prof. Dr. Jovan
Despotović, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PE EPS, graduated and obtained
his master's degree and doctorate at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the
University in Belgrade, where he was employed as a full-time professor from
1979 until his retirement in 2017. He is an expert in the fields of hydrology,
hydrotechnics, hydrotechnical Infrastructure, construction risks. He is the
author of more than 230 scientific papers, as well as the head of the board of
the UNESCO International Research and Training Centre on Urban Drainage (IRTCUD
UNESCO) and works on EU projects HORIZON 2020 at the Faculty of Civil
Engineering of the University in Belgrade.
