Completed works on the rehabilitation of the Spreader at MB "Kolubara"

Excavator "Spreader 4" at the opencast mine "Tamnava-West Field", a powerful machine of extreme importance for the production of coal in "Electric Power Industry of Serbia" and the Branch MB "Kolubara" started heading to its operating position this morning. Functional tests and necessary adjustments were made during the previous three days, and it will be included in production in the next few days.
The works on "Spreader 4" at the "Tamnava- West Field" mine for fire damage repair were fully completed on December 10th, as it was foreseen by Time Scheduled adopted in February last year. Since December 10th, regular overhaul activities necessary for the safer operation of the excavator in the next period, which have nothing to do with fire damage repair, as well as necessary reconstructions and improvements, have been carried out on "Spreader 4".
Employees of EPS, Branch MB Kolubara and OC "Metal" performed all activities related to the fire damage repair, overhaul and machine system improvement.
"Spreader 4" is the largest spreader at the mines of the Branch MB "Kolubara", with a capacity of 12,000 cubic meters of overburden removal per hour. It started to operate on the "Tamnava-West Field" mine in December 2017. It is 130 meters long and weighs approx. 2,000 tons, and is an extremely powerful and significant machine since it serves to dispose of waste masses and overburden with multiple excavators.
