Мilorad Grčić, Acting Director of "Electric Power Industry of Serbia", congratulated The Day of TPPNT

For more than half a century, more precisely for 51 years, the largest electricity factory in the Balkans, the thermal power plant "Nikola Tesla A", has been a solid pillar of energy stability in Serbia. Congratulations on the 51st birthday of TENT A to all employees, those who built this energy giant and all those who are responsible for the decades-long reliable operation of this thermal power plant - said Milorad Grčić, Acting Director of "Electric Power Industry of Serbia, on the occasion of March 7th, the day of TPPNT.

In more than half a century, TPPNT A has produced 375 billion kilowatt-hours, and the entire TPPNT branch has produced 733 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. Records have been broken and successful investments have been made for years. TPPNT modernization projects also drive the development of the Serbian economy, and many branches of the economy have a reliable partner. With the project of building a desulphurization plant, TPPNT A is today one of the largest construction sites in Serbia and proof that professional, hardworking and dedicated people achieve significant results at all times.

Everyone at EPS is proud of the 51 years of TPPNT A's work, but all of this would not have happened if generations of employees had not invested great knowledge and dedication to the job. The results are proof of careful maintenance and smart modernization. For five years now, we have been doing everything to keep TPPNT the safest link in the Serbian power industry for future generations, and we have started many stalled and forgotten projects from the standstill. We keep what we inherited from the people who built this system. We are working on design and development and continue to start the investment cycle. The desulphurization projects in TPPNT A and B alone are worth more than 400 million euros, and this year a major overhaul and increase of power on unit 1 in TPPNT B will follow. This will enable TPPNT to work reliably in the coming years and to produce electricity according to modern European standards - Grčić emphasized. - Many, under the guise of environmental protection, are raising their voices against our thermal power plants, but in fact they are also hiding their true goals and clients who wish Serbia energy dependence and ruin. They do not work in the interest of the citizens and the economy of Serbia, but work only for their own interest and profit. We are modernizing thermal power plants and adjusting them to European standards, and we will persevere along that path. We have already done a lot, filters have been installed on all TPP units, and we are working hard on desulphurization projects. Our TPPs will be, as they used to be, side by side with the European ones.
