One
of the biggest challenges for Elektroprivreda Srbije is to maintain the
stability and continuity of coal production, and Radljevo OCM is
one of the key replacement capacities for the mines that will be closed in the
coming period, said Dejan R. Ostojić, member of the Supervisory Board of EPS
and Chairman of the Risk and Sustainability Committee, during visit of Radljevo
and the erection yard in Tamnava, where two ECS systems are being
installed for this mine.
He
pointed out that the most important condition for the opening of Radljevo
is the completion of the contract with domestic and foreign companies for
excavator installation, which is a prerequisite for the launch of a serious
production at Radljevo.
-
Completion of works on the installation of this equipment and inclusion in the
production process are crucial for the continuity of planned production.
Together, we will try to complete the initiated work as soon as possible -
Ostojić emphasized.
At
the session held at MB Kolubara, the Risk and Sustainability Committee of
EPS analyzed the importance of continuity of coal production in the Kolubara
mines, as one of the preconditions for the security of future operation of the
power system. This committee monitors the issues of risk and sustainability of
EPS and all major challenges for the company, including coal production. In
addition to the dynamics of the installation of equipment for the Radljevo
mine, the electricity generation market and other important segments were also
analyzed at the meeting.
