From 1 October, entrepreneurs, as
well as small and micro enterprises, will be eligible to enter into contracts under
the guaranteed electricity supply scheme. Elektroprivreda Srbije will enable
this category of consumers to purchase electricity at prices defined within the
guaranteed supply framework, irrespective of their consumption levels.
This measure offers a significant
number of entrepreneurs and small businesses the opportunity to reduce their
electricity costs compared to current rates, depending on their individual
consumption. More importantly, they will gain the ability to choose their
procurement model — either via the commercial market or the regulated market.
As a result of this change, the
number of small consumers under the guaranteed supply scheme is expected to
increase, as entrepreneurs, small and micro enterprises will now acquire the
right to be supplied at the same rates as residential customers, regardless of
their annual electricity consumption or the voltage level to which their
metering points are connected.
Through this initiative,
Elektroprivreda Srbije — an essential pillar of economic development — is
actively and tangibly supporting the growth of the small business sector.
