72.653 million kilowatt hours of electricity which is by 26 percent more
than the previous record in February production which was 57.769 million kWh. Due to favourable hydrological conditions,
rehabilitated units and high reliability, the production plan was exceeded by
120 percent.
Even the
greatest hydropower plant on the Danube, Djerdap 1, produced 655, 680 million kWh
and set a record in producing electricity for February. Such result was
achieved mostly due to
effects of favourable hydrological conditions and operational readiness of
units. So far, in HPP Djerdap 1, five units have been rehabilitated and after
the last unit is rehabilitated, this HPP will be able to produce more
electricity in accordance with hydrological conditions. Good technical
preparation, modernization of HPP as well as preparation of the lake for coming
waters, all created conditions for such
successful production.
