In March, 1.8 million or even 54 percent of households
received a rational electricity consumption discount. March was the month in
which citizens were the most efficient in electricity consumption.
From the beginning of October 2023 until the end of
March this year, more than half of the households received a discount each
month, and for the past six months, Elektroprivreda Srbije calculated a
discount of about RSD 9.3 billion to consumers.
The largest discount of 40 percent was approved by Elektroprivreda
Srbije for 24.7 percent of households, i.e. 831,968, and this number of
households in March saved more than 30 percent of electricity compared to the
same month in the previous two years. For 12.4 percent of customers, or 418,806
households, the March bill is 20 percent lower. 6.2 percent of households have
a 25 percent discount for their energy bill, 5.6 percent of customers have
their bill reduced by 30 percent, while 5 percent of households have a 35
percent discount.
An additional 5 percent discount for the March bills
was also achieved by households increasing their lower tariff consumption by 5
percent compared to the same month of the previous year. 415,584 households,
i.e. 12%, received this benefit.
Savings were the highest in Belgrade, Niš, Šabac,
Smederevo, Vranje, Novi Sad, Subotica, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica.
