Elektroprivreda Srbije continues to improve and enhance the electricity supply offer in accordance with modern market trends and the needs of the economy. Commercial customers may opt for contracts with variable, or dynamic, electricity price, as well.
- It is about supply models with electricity prices that are not fixed throughout the entire contract duration period but are formed according to the electricity market developments. The price is calculated on the basis of the reference price from our SEEPEX day-ahead market, with the addition of contracted margin – said Vojkan Vučković, EPS Director of the Free Market Development Department, at the conference Company Energy Resilience: from Market Risks to Concrete Solutions, organized by American Chamber of Commerce.
He reminded that, at the moment, EPS offers to the customers contracts indexed to hourly prices, average monthly prices, as well as hybrid model in which a part of the consumption is calculated at a fixed rate, while the rest is indexed according to market prices.
- Such supply models enable higher flexibility, transparency and possibility of optimization of electricity costs to the customers, particularly under conditions of active consumption management. On the other hand, these contracts also imply greater exposure to market fluctuations, which makes them most suitable for companies with developed energy management and possibility to adapt the consumption to market conditions – said Vučković.
EPS concluded the first contract indexed to average monthly prices as early as in May 2025, while in the meantime, contracts indexed to hourly prices, as well as hybrid supply models, were also implemented.
