Another device that will strengthen the work of “Kolubara” is moving to its working position on Field “E”. The value of the belt wagon is EUR 12 million and this investment will contribute to the long-term solution of the problem of coal supply for the needs of the thermal power plant in Obrenovac - said Dušan Živković, General Manager of EPS, during a tour of the assembly site in Vreoci, where five large mining devices are being assembled for two new ECS systems for Field “E”.

Upon arrival at its operational site at the opencast mine, the new belt wagon will operate within the coal system of Field “E,” alongside the bucket wheel excavator “Glodar 8.” It serves a dual function: it can operate both as a belt wagon and as a spreader, which is highly significant for operations in a complex deposit such as Field “E.” It has a capacity of 4,800 cubic meters per hour, a length of 78 meters, and a weight of 650 tons.

At the assembly site in Vreoci, work on two bucket wheel excavators and two spreaders is progressing according to plans within the largest investment project for the procurement and installation of mining equipment for Field “E” and the mine “Raljevo”, with a total value of EUR 450 million.
Representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the management of EPS and MB “Kolubara”, as well as the Contractors, visited the works together with the General Manager of EPS.
