On the occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, Đorđe Đurković, a miner of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia and an excavator operator at the 'Drmno' open cast mine, was today decorated with the Order of the Karađorđe's Star of the Second Degree. President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić presented Djurković with decoration for achieved results and improvement of electric power sector.
Djurković has been working at Kostolac Open Cast Mine ''Drmno'' for almost 12 years and he was member of crew that excavated record ten-million ton of coal in year 2025, which shall be recorded in history of ''Elektroprivreda Srbije'' as one of the best years of Open Cast Mine ''Drmno'' operation. Result of effort and work of EPS Miners is coal production which was seven percent higher in last year, i.e. for two million tons when compared to year 2024.
Djordje is machinery operator in open cast mine and he is an example of worker whose professional path was gradual, responsible and committed. During his career he proves not only high expert skills in handling complex mining machinery, but also strong personal integrity, impeccable work discipline and profound understanding of team work importance. In daily operation he is appreciated as responsible and professional worker who cooperates with his co-workers and he has never been late for his shift.
