A new service for households and small-scale electricity consumers

On the web site of Elektroprivreda Srbije, a new portal https://portal.eps.rs/ for downloading e-bills and for e-payment has been put into operation today. The portal may be used by households and small-scale electricity consumers under the guaranteed supply.

The portal enables fast and easy downloading and preview of e-bills as soon as the monthly charge is prepared, before printing and distribution. An archive for bills and payments for the past three years is also available there, as well as a comprehensive overview of consumption per zones and tariffs.

- By putting the new portal into operation, we continue with modernization and improvement of our operations within the scope of relationships with our customers. It is now easier for customers to access their electricity bills and to get much useful information in one place. It is also planned, early in 2024, in the next phase of digitalization, to have an application for mobile phones “Bill Check” - said Mr. Dušan Živković, Acting Director of Elektroprivreda Srbije.

The users of the portal may safely and quickly pay their bill without visiting payment offices, via the instant payments system (IPS Scan) and bank cards such as Dina, Visa and MasterCard. The fee per transaction is less in comparison to one paid at banks and post offices, it is RSD 28.77 and it does not go to EPS funds. Registration and signing-in to the portal is simple, as well as its use.

Citizens may monitor their monthly consumption on the portal and already within their bill for October they may easily and quickly see whether they have made any saving and how much they have saved.

- Saving is not waiving, but adopting good and useful habits to consume electricity only as much as we need it, not to waste it - Mr. Živković explained and reminded that both the state and EPS stimulate rational consumption through discounts.

For households that reduce their electricity consumption during this heating period, EPS will grant a discount between 20 to 40 percent for their monthly bill, and this is more than it was in last year’s winter. Households that reduce their consumption by 5 to 15 percent in comparison to the same month last year in which the consumption was greater, will have a 20 percent discount.  For savings between 15 and 20 percent, the reduction is 25 percent, and for saving between 20 and 25 percent, a 30 percent discount will be calculated. For households that reduce their electricity consumption by 25 to 30 percent, the discount will be 35 percent, while the greatest discount of 40 percent will be granted to those who reduce their consumption by more than 30 percent.

Along with discounts for paying their bills in time, EPS will also calculate a 5 percent discount for households if they increase a share of the low tariff consumption in their monthly bill by at least five percent in comparison to the same month in 2022.
