Considering that another tropical wave has begun, it
is necessary to organize the coal production in accordance with the weather
conditions, for miners to execute their work
assignments safely and with high quality, said Mr. Dušan Živković, General
Manager of Elektroprivreda Srbije, during his visit to the Mining Basin Kolubara.
He appealed to the production managers of open-cast
mines to take care of the health and safety of employees, as well as of the
technological function of machines and plants under difficult weather
conditions.
- We expect
increased electricity consumption, but citizens have nothing to worry about,
because EPS is prepared to provide sufficient quantities of electricity, and
high temperatures will not affect the implementation of the production plan – Mr.
Živković said.
In addition to the actual production of coal and
overburden, the topics of the meeting between the General Manager and the
managers of MB Kolubara were reviews of the state of overhaul activities and
preparations for the upcoming winter season.
- The priority is the implementation of the plan, and
for us it is to provide the continuation of stable production of coal and
overburden by managing over processes, and this is clearly expected from all
managers. Special attention must be focused on the Field E, for creating
conditions for further activities on the opening of the mine in full capacity -
said Mr. Živković.
